Doug Perrine captured these stunning photographs in the Maldives. The particular location (Vaadhoo Island) has a concentrated population of bioluminescent phytoplankton. Bioluminescence is a natural chemical reaction which occurs when a micro-organism in the water reacts with oxygen. When washed ashore by the tides, the phytoplankton’s chemical energy is turned into light energy, illuminating the waves.
Beautiful site.
As 2012 ended, I took a stroll through memory lane. I reminisced the great times only to realize it was one of my most memorable years to date. I have lost some friends, gained many new ones, and even reunited with some. The experiences that I have shared with many of my friends, family, work, and school have helped me develop a deeper appreciation towards the little things in life. It has truly inspired me to live to the fullest and chase my dreams. Sometimes you have to sit back and say damn time flies, so why not live it up? Take some risks and see where life takes you. You can’t fail unless you give something a shot. I end 2012 on a positive note. Hopefully I can say the same for the next few years to come.
On a side note. I had my first clubbing experience yesterday at LQST Boston. I vaguely remember ANYTHING! It was seriously a Project X kind of night. I had way too much to drink in a short amount of time. I literally blacked out like a zombie for the rest of the night. Apparently, everyone had a great time so I’m not complaining. If they had a good time, I’m assuming it was a good night. I want to give a shout out to my friends (they know who they are) for showing me a good time and taking care of me. It was like partying for the 21st birthday I should’ve had. 2013 is starting off on a good track.
I also want to give an early birthday shout out to the homie Elvis.
I’m going to try an update my blog more often. It is a new year and I’m feeling more inspired than ever. I picked up a Sony Nex 7 in hopes that I will carry it everywhere and produce some new work. Stay tuned!
So everyone has read or heard this fable before. A little boy cries wolf over and over again and no one believes him at the end when a wolf actually comes and eats his flock, no one believes him. Moral of the story “A liar will not be believed, even when he speaks the truth.”
The same thing…
